A Supportive Environment for Learning

The school grounds are divided into four zones, all designed to support learning and life within a kalyanamitta (spiritual friendship) community:

  1. Educational Area
  2. Residential Area
  3. Sports Area
  4. Agricultural Area

Educational Area

This central zone features a variety of buildings that foster joyful learning in a natural setting:
  • Panyaprateep Stupa and Pavilion
The first structures built at the school, located at its heart. Around the stupa, the Four Noble Truths (Ariya Sacca 4) are inscribed. The pavilion is used for meditation and Dharma practice.
  • Praya and Khun Ying Withurathamphinetu Building
The school’s first building, named in memory of Grandma Thawsi’s parents. It includes the administration office, a meeting room, and the library.
  • Thawsi Building
Named to reflect the connection with Thawsi School in Bangkok, this building houses classrooms for grades 7–12 (Mathayom 1–6), teacher offices, and a dining area. Surrounded by trees and mountains, it offers a relaxed and natural atmosphere.
  • Mung-Witthaya Building (Science, Math & Technology Center)
A comprehensive science learning hub with classrooms, labs, a Maker Space, and workshop zones. The roof is designed for stargazing at night.
  • Art Building
A two-story building dedicated to the arts, also used for other classes and exhibitions.
  • Music Pavilion
Located by the water, this building offers a serene space for music learning, with a large practice hall and private rooms.
  • Snail House and Beetle House
Open-air pavilions with natural breezes and scenic views, used as multipurpose spaces for learning, group meetings, or end-of-term exhibitions.

Residential Area

The school is like a second home to its students. There are three-story dormitories with common areas, study rooms, shared bedrooms for lower secondary students, and smaller 3–4 person rooms for upper secondary students. Dormitories are clearly separated by gender. All dorms are within a five-minute walk of the school buildings.

There are four student dormitories:

  • Khung Nam 1 & 2 (boys’ dormitories)
  • Sai Rung 1 & 2 (girls’ dormitories)
Teachers are provided with two-story dormitories, each with a private room and en-suite bathroom.

Sports Area

Students have ample opportunity for regular exercise and diverse activities. The school has two large gymnasiums for sports like volleyball, basketball, badminton, and table tennis. Outdoor facilities include a standard football field with a surrounding track, and a 25x15 meter outdoor swimming pool with spectator seating.

Agricultural Area

Located behind the school, this area is dedicated to growing vegetables, fruits, and medicinal herbs. It includes a mushroom house, a biodiesel workshop, and a woodworking facility. It serves as a hands-on learning space where students can explore agriculture and the four requisites (food, clothing, shelter, and medicine).
